Good Morning Jo,

I believe the one of the main reasons we are on planet Earth is to
experience God's joy which of course can be different for each person.
I enjoy riding my bike, it's only 7 blocks. The fact that I am 66 and
can ride a bike on snow and ice and not fall over gives me joy.

I have a friend who has climb all seven of the tallest mountains in the
world and he is in his 70's. He does it for the joy and personal
satisfaction of doing it. Now, that does not interest me at all, but
riding a bike does. Different folks, different joys, right?

I do take a spinning class on Monday at the Y and that gives me joy,
plus a darn good workout.

One day last year, I rode my bike for 11 and 1/2 hours straight just to
win a contest. Even in the midst of pain one can experience joy. I do
not enjoy pain, but I do enjoy working out hard.

There are a lot of people who ride their bikes in the snow, you can buy
bike tires with metal stubs in them for traction. It is just another
way of entertaining ourselves. What makes sense, you know, like joy, is
different for many people.

Plus, I enjoyed making the video. I taught myself how to do that..

Take care and thanks for your comment.

Respectfully,

Duane

Why would you ride your bike to the YMCA in snow? Wouldn't it make more sense to just drive up there and then ride a stationary bike????
